Lee Min Young Painting Finish

Total time spent was about 6.5 hours of painting, and 1.5 of color correction. This turned out nicer than what I anticipated. I could't pick between two versions so I'm leaving both. I like the skin tone on the top one alot, but the darks are blow out too much in my opinion, where as the lower version has nicer value all around.

More practice painting! This time it's Lee Min Young from miss A! It's a work in progress, spent a little over 4 hours so far. I like the outline but I'm trying to get rid of it by adding more value. I'm looking forward to the end result.

The "final" for our group project. I worked on the last shot, primarily on the keys, inbetweens, and the majority of the detail work. I also keyed some of the nerd poses in the first shot. It still needs alot of work before this is demo reel ready but I look forward to polishing this piece off, it was alot of fun.

I was practicing an anime doodle(I know shame on the art student). Recently I've been playing with overlaying colors over paintings to help colors pop or give a nice overall tone. It hit me to also try adding texture so I played around with textures and filters.

Katara Redesign

I recently watched a video where one of the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender shows us how to draw Katara from the show. I was pretty underwhelmed sadly, so I go "I bet I can do better!" After 3 failed attempts, I said screw it and just did my thing. I wouldn't call them better but they are different!

I chose to make a storyboard of one section from Gilgamesh. One of the characters, Enkidu, gets seduced by Shamhat the Harlot. It took roughly 2 days
